Alison Insley Getty
Associate
Alison Insley Getty is a 2002 cum laude graduate of Dickinson College, where she received her B.A. in English. While at Dickinson, Alison lettered in Women’s Varsity lacrosse. She also attended the University of Bristol in Bristol, England, for a semester, where she studied English literature and art history. Alison received her J.D. in 2005 from the University of Baltimore School of Law. While in law school, she interned for the Honorable Sally D. Adkins of the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland.
Upon graduation from law school, Alison served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Kathleen L. Beckstead of the Circuit Court for Wicomico County, Maryland. Following her clerkship, Alison was an associate with the law firm of Cullen, Insley and Benson, LLP, in Salisbury, Maryland, focusing on business transactions, commercial real estate transactions, and civil litigation.
Alison’s primary area of practice is in business law and civil litigation. She is licensed to practice in the State of Maryland and before the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. She is a member of the Frederick County Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
Alison lives in Frederick with her husband, G. Andrew Getty, who is also a practicing attorney in Frederick.
